Return Policy

This Return Policy outlines the terms, conditions, and requirements that apply to all return requests for purchases made on miojewelry.com By placing an order with Mio Jewelry, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below. We have written this policy to be fair to both our customers and our business — please read it carefully before requesting a return.

Return Eligibility

Watches and jewelry purchased online through miojewelry.com may be eligible for return, provided the item and the return process fully comply with this Policy.

The following transactions are Final Sale and are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange under any circumstances:

  • In-store and in-person purchases
  • Special orders and pre-orders
  • Sized, engraved, modified, or otherwise customized items (including resized bracelets and engraved jewelry)
  • Trade-in transactions and consignment sales

If a purchase does not meet every requirement set out in this Policy, it will be deemed ineligible for return.

Return Window — 14 Calendar Days

Return requests must be initiated within fourteen (14) calendar days of the date the shipment is marked “Delivered” by the carrier. This window is among the most generous in the luxury watch industry and gives you ample time to inspect your purchase, verify its condition, and confirm it is the right piece for you.

To initiate a return, contact Mio Jewelry through any of the following channels so that we have a documented record:

Return requests received after the 14-day window will not be accepted. We do not make exceptions for travel, delayed package opening, or similar circumstances, so please open and inspect your shipment promptly upon delivery.

Return Shipping Requirements

Once your return request is conditionally approved, Mio Jewelry will issue a prepaid, fully insured FedEx return label. After receiving the label, you must:

  • Ship the item back to Mio Jewelry within three (3) business days of receiving the return label
  • Drop the package off at an official FedEx Office or FedEx Ship Center staffed location
  • Obtain a time-stamped drop-off receipt showing the location and time of hand-off, and email a copy to us the same day

For insurance and security reasons, the following drop-off methods are not permitted and will void your return:

  • FedEx Authorized ShipCenters (third-party agents)
  • FedEx drop boxes
  • Pack-and-ship stores, mailbox stores, or any unattended drop point
  • Leaving the package with a driver, doorman, mailroom, or building staff

You must use only the prepaid FedEx label provided by Mio Jewelry. Packages shipped using any other label, carrier, or account will be refused and returned to sender at the customer’s expense. Mio Jewelry assumes no responsibility for loss, theft, damage, misdelivery, or delay of any return that is not shipped using our prepaid, insured label and is not dropped off as instructed above.

As-Shipped Condition Requirement

All returned items must arrive at Mio Jewelry in the exact As-Shipped Condition in which they left our facility. This is the single most important requirement of this Policy. A return that fails this standard will be classified as an Unacceptable Return (see below).

No Wear, Use, or Handling Marks

The item must show zero evidence of use, including but not limited to:

  • Scratches, scuffs, dents, nicks, or abrasions on the case, bezel, lugs, or bracelet
  • Crystal chips, marks, or hairline cracks
  • Strap creasing, stretching, or clasp wear
  • Bracelet stretch, twisting, or manipulation
  • Skin oils, fragrance residue, makeup, dust, or surface discoloration

No Alterations or Tampering

Returned items must show no signs of:

  • Opened caseback or access to the movement
  • Resized, added, or removed bracelet links
  • Substituted or swapped components, including straps, buckles, or clasps
  • Tool marks, pressure marks, or attempted repairs

Security and Packaging Requirements

All of the following must be returned exactly as originally shipped:

  • Intact Mio Jewelry security sticker or seal
  • All original tags, hangtags, and non-removable tags
  • Original boxes, outer packaging, warranty cards, instruction booklets, certificates, and accessories
  • Original receipt or invoice
  • Any protective coverings, plastics, or stickers that were on the item at the time of delivery

Any deviation from As-Shipped Condition — no matter how minor — automatically disqualifies the return from a full refund and may disqualify it from refund entirely.

Restocking Fee and Deductions

All approved returns are subject to the following deductions from the refund amount:

Restocking Fee — 15%

A restocking fee of fifteen percent (15%) of the item’s purchase price applies to all approved returns. This fee covers:

  • Non-refundable payment processing fees (credit card, PayPal, Affirm, Shop Pay, and similar processors do not refund their fees to merchants)
  • Labor for re-inspection, re-authentication, and quality control
  • Administrative handling, compliance, and documentation
  • Re-photography, re-listing, and remarketing
  • Loss of market value and lost-sale opportunity during the return cycle

Shipping and Insurance

The original outbound shipping and insurance cost (if any was provided complimentary on your order) and the cost of the prepaid return label and return insurance will be deducted from your refund. These are direct, documented out-of-pocket costs paid by Mio Jewelry on your behalf and are not refundable.

Unacceptable Returns

A return will be classified as Unacceptable and will not be eligible for a standard refund if any of the following apply:

  • Failure to meet policy requirements — the item or process does not comply with every condition of this Policy, including timing, authorization, shipping method, and condition standards.
  • Signs of wear, alteration, or tampering — including marks, scratches, sizing changes, part swaps, repair attempts, broken security sticker, missing tags, missing plastics, or any change from as-shipped condition.
  • Missing or substituted items — the return is missing any component originally shipped, such as boxes, papers, accessories, warranty cards, booklets, links, tags, or authentication materials.
  • Improper or late shipping — the item was shipped after the deadline, shipped using a label or carrier other than the one provided by Mio Jewelry, or dropped off at an unauthorized location.
  • Packaging or handling issues — the item was inadequately packaged, improperly protected, or shows signs of mishandling or exposure during return transit.

Consequences of an Unacceptable Return

At Mio Jewelry’s sole discretion, an Unacceptable Return may be handled in one of two ways:

  • The item will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense, with no refund issued; or
  • Mio Jewelry may, at our option, accept the item with an increased restocking fee of up to 25%, plus all shipping, insurance, processor fees, and any restoration costs needed to return the item to resale condition.

Inspection and Verification

Every returned item undergoes a high-resolution, video-recorded inspection immediately upon arrival at Mio Jewelry. During this process, we verify:

  • Authenticity and serial/reference number match to the original shipment
  • Mechanical integrity and timekeeping function
  • Condition consistency with As-Shipped standards
  • Completeness of packaging, papers, and accessories
  • Integrity of the security sticker or seal
  • Absence of tampering, modification, or wear

You are welcome to request a copy of the inspection video if any aspect of our determination is in question. We will review good-faith disputes; however, Mio Jewelry’s final determination after dispute review is binding.

Refund Method and Processing Time

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method whenever possible. Most refunds are processed within 3 to 5 business days of the item passing inspection. Once issued by Mio Jewelry, the time it takes for funds to appear in your account depends on your bank or card issuer and is outside of our control.

Refunds will reflect all deductions described above (restocking fee, shipping, insurance, and any processor fees).

Exchanges and Store Credit

If you would prefer to exchange your watch for a different model or take the value as store credit, please tell us when you initiate your return. For approved exchanges and store credit, Mio Jewelry will waive the 15% restocking fee and credit the full purchase price (less original outbound shipping and the cost of the return label) toward your new piece or to a Mio Jewelry store credit valid for 12 months. This is our preferred outcome and the best way to make sure you end up with a watch you love.

Right to Refuse Service

Mio Jewelry reserves the right to:

  • Refuse any return that does not strictly comply with this Policy
  • Decline service to any individual suspected of policy abuse, serial returning, or fraudulent activity
  • Update, modify, or revise this Policy at any time; the version in effect at the time of your purchase will govern your order
